John Daly makes impressive PGA Tour return just months after needing emergency surgery
Golf legend John Daly made his long-awaited return to the sport on Friday, two months after being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery on his hand. The 58-year-old posted an even-par round on day one of this week's Hoag Classic in Newport Beach, California. It came 24 hours after he played in the tournament's pro-am alongside Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and former NFL player Eric Dickerson. Daly sparked huge concerns for his wellbeing when he shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed back in January.
